Terrorists Like Bush!

Letter to the Editor

Bush made an amusing statement today that I think many in America agree with. But what he said probably isn’t what he meant. “Our enemies,” says Bush “are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”

Bush is more right than he thinks. Apparently his idea of winning the “war on terror” is to do more damage to this country than the terrorists are doing – and in that frame of reference he is definitely winning. Clearly no terrorist could have done the kind of damage to America that Bush has done in the four years since he stole the election. Sometimes I think the reason that the terrorists haven’t attacked again is because they can just sit back and watch Bush destroy America. If I were a terrorist – I wouldn’t want to do anything that would interfere with Bush’s reelection.

Terrorists come in all shapes, forms and even sizes. The real terrorist is those who do nothing and expect someone else to do everything.
Terrorist will never attack a lawyer or the media because they are the ones who fuel the terrorist growth. Not intentionally.
Has anyone thought why terrorist hate countries who are quote “free”? Maybe it’s because the terrorist hate gay people and because we allow it as a lifestyle choice. Or the fact there are people who are anti-christ, christian, pagans, agnostic, or we are just too damn free to worship. It’s very possible this is fuel for the recruitment for the terrorist. People can’t tell me or make me beleive President Bush is the sole reason we are hated. As a matter of fact President Clinton says America is hated by radical islamist terrorist.
Look, Terrorism has been a growing problem since President Carter’s term in office. The hatred has always been there but the means to attack the US has not. Organizations and policticians and the media have not put the hatred in perspective. Those who hate President Bush do so because it’s easy. They are taking the easy way out. Anyone can sit out there and “Bash Bush” because it’s easy. Yet no one trys to make a change or come up w/ ideas to improve. why?
As far as the destruction of America? Lawyers seem not to care how many people it effects when they sue a company. Ordinary people lose their jobs. Lawyers claim they are making a wrong a right but at what cost? America was built on the backs of honest workers but America is being torn apart by lawsuits ranging from malpractice to relgious issues.
My final thought is on history. It has been long said if you don’t study history you are doomed to repeat it. Has anyone considered why Rome fell or Greece?

Terrorists dont hate us cuz of our freedoms. They hate us because we have soldiers in their land and we support Israel. Get your facts straight before you post government propaganda bullshit.

They dont “hate freedom”, as stated by our fearless leaders.. They just hate our policies toward their countries. But nevertheless the terrorists, the real terrorists, must reap what they’ve sewn, not civilians. We should of went to Pakistan instead of Iraq, and im beginning to think Afghanistan wasn’t the best idea. Definetly not, when it comes down to contrasting Pak. w/ Afg. And we, the forgotten Americans, need to be heard and/or speak up more often. We are headed toward totalitarianism unless were there already.

The terrorists are fundamental idealists who do not recognize governmental laws, policies and boundaries. They are upset about non-muslims inside their lands, sure, but they call us “The Great Satan” because of the moral decay of our society. They don’t agree with our policies and justify their war on the premise that we are “moral infidels.” So for all you Democrats out there, don’t think for one second that our foreign policy and the moral decay of our society are separate in the jihad of these terrorists. Work on that open-minded critical thinking that you are always preaching to the other side…

josh, josh, josh. the ‘terrorists’ hatred goes back to the young days of christianity. arabs were once a great people who gave us the concept of numbers, zero, banking, fine art. then came the christians. whoah, we’ve got to kill them ayerabs.. bad people. convert of kill. thus comes in a man by the name of saladin, who, by joind the nomadic peoples, they successfully fought off the christians. but that left a bad taste in their mouth, because the christians did not give up so easily. the arabs turned their focus from peaceful engergy to hatred towards the western world, wich was most of europe at the time. although, they did control most of europe for a while, the slowly lost their territory. how did they gain all that territory? their anger towards christians. now what does that have to do with them hating us today? well, for over almost two thousands years, they have confused modernizatoin withe westernization, which is why they are not as advanced today as america or europe. also doesn’t help that they live in a desert, which was once lush land. so, they HATE christians. they HATER the western world. to them, both are the same. and the modernization that the western world just adds to it. that’s just how i see things. my opinion. so josh, just because you don’t agree with someone, does not mean you’re right or gives you the right to be an ass… bring it on…

Charlie,

Are you always passive-aggressive? It appears to me that the poster by the name of josh simply stated facts. The liberal, democrat or left winged individuals in this world tend to preach that everyone should be open-minded. He is simply turning it back around. This is a fact.

He also states the facts about why terrorists behave the way that they do. It is simply because they hate anyone who is not like them. This is a fact.

I agree with the points that he makes in his post. I also agree with a couple of points you make. Mostly just the point you make about how the Arabic used to be a great people.

I think the Arabic still are a great people. When in Turkey, my husband sent me rugs, a leather jacket and some other items. I felt these items were amazing. I would never see that sort of craftsmanship anywhere else in the world. I am all too well aware of that fact. The Turkish are mostly of Arabic decent and they still travel in nomadic tribes.

By the way, this is not to be rude it is simply advice, try using the shift key when you start a sentence. It makes it easier to read and also shows intelligence.

jes, great retort. you make excellent points as well. but i still stand by my point of view on why the arabs hate the world. the same could Be said of the christians. they hate those that are dIfferent. the same can also be said of some white people: they haTe people with darker skin. now, don’t come baCk and say that cHristians don’t hate or that white folk just tolerate. hate is a VERY (used my shift key)harsh word. i inform my son that that is a dreadful word to use. back to MY point. i was simply stating, to josh, on how the hatred towards america by arabs started. i do agree with josh on some of his points. but then again, that is my opinion. and jes, i must not be that intelligent. or maybe i’m just plain lazy to use my shift key. after all, i am a mexican…

“He also states the facts about why terrorists behave the way that they do. It is simply because they hate anyone who is not like them. This is a fact.”

Then Bush, Limbaugh, O’Rielly, Buchanan, Coultier and countless others are the world’s biggest terrorists. Also, if being a terrorist means you ‘hate anyone who is not like you’ then the majority of the world’s population are terrorists.

To me, it’s pretty simple. The US of A has been and always will be a terrorist supporting nation. History has proven this fact. Now, when you have a histroy of funding terrorism, overthrowing democractically elected governments, funding death squads, promoting hatred of anything non-capitalist and xian, then it’s no bloody surprise people are pissed and are hitting back mainly with words. You reap what you sow. American history is rooted in violence and destruction – native Americans, Africans, Civil War, World War II, Nicaragua, Cuban Missle crises etc. This is the basis for ‘freedom and democracry’. Word to the wise – democracy the US way is no democracy when it is garnered by extortion, blackmail and war.

Bush is not the sole cause of terrorism, but it would take a huge leap of faith to assume that his aggressive, destructive and arrogant policies are not helping to fuel the hatred not just of Muslims but of the thinking wider international community.

You have to look at the past for what it is, understand that the ‘American Dream’ is now just a lie, understand that America does not do things without a distinct gain, then and only then can terrorism be looked and and remedies against it made. Or continue on the current course and hope that we all don’t end up incinerated by a giant nuke. Take your pick. To me it’s pretty simple.

Do we really want peace or not? Let’s take a good look…Let’s start with the “Middle East”
If the people who live in Israel want peace, why don’t they help their brothers who live next door? Who are these people? The people of Islam are their brothers. According to the Holy Book of Islam and the Holy Book of Israel, they are the same. Abraham was the father of all the sons and daughters of these generations. Remember that Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. The God of Islam and the God of Israel is the same God! If you don’t believe this, then ask the arabs who Allah is. Ishmael and Isaac were brothers who loved each other. They played together, they did’nt blow each other up! If we want our children to be safe, then we have to take care of them, both of them! They both need love, they both need a “home with love”. If your children are fighting and you want them to stop, what would you do? Would you ignore them? Would you talk with them? Let’s find out what the problem is all about. The kids say they want their own room, it’s too crowded. What do you do? Would you say that one of your children has to leave his home? “Go away, there is only room for one of you.” Would you tell one son to throw a bomb at the other one if he did’nt want to leave. Would you tell the other son to wear a belt with explosives. Think about it. What else could you do? You could tell your children that our tent is big enough, and they both can have their own space. The two boys like this solution and they stop fighting.

Mr. Big Stuff,
If you say that your tent is big enough for everyone(the ones on the left, the ones on the right, the ones in the middle), then why do you side with Israel? You say you believe in God and I believe you. Do you believe God helped you to be strong and be a better person by having faith and do what is right? The words of the Holy Book say that Ishmael(Islam) and Isaac(Israel) are brothers. According to the Bible, Ishmael and Isaac were brothers who loved each other. I really don’t know why Abraham sent his first son away. God did’t tell him to send him away, did he? Today their families are living side by side with fear and despair in this world of aggression. If you could talk with Ishmael and if you could talk with Isaac, what would you say? What would you say to your daughters if they were trying to hurt each other? Ishmael(Islam), and Isaac(Israel) are fighting with each other. Doesn’t God provide a big enough tent for all his children,(the ones on the left, the ones on the right, the ones in the middle)?

the qoute all of you need is to read is “all that is required for evil to reign is for good men to do nothing”

and you can not offer peace where violence hangs in fury.
funny not one muslim/islam person said anything when the evil people beheaded an american.

the only reason they said anything when their fellow believers high jacked the planes they flew into the buildings was for fear of their own sorry asses not being locked up.

and yea you muslim/islamic peoples are so anti- american you make me sick. you been killin in the name of your so called god way before america even exsisted.

to hell with all of you and your so called religion. in fact to hell with all religions all of you assume god even exsists. its a faith, period.

so do me a favot keep your faith out of my builings, my america.

the bible and all “holy” books were written by man. so it will be a cold day in hell when i beleve anything a bunch of idiots who smoked opium say someone said anything. pure speculation.
also maybe you can explain o me why in american public schools do not allow OUR pledge of allegence to be sited because of the word god. and yet you muslim/islamic people DEMAND a place to pray for your children. all of you religious fanatics are full of yourselves.

sincerely,
tired of the word according to fanatics

The reason why there is terrorism and war is for one simple reason that should be fixed. War and terrorism exists because of the discrepancies of religions and different views of religions. I think that may be a redundant statement. The origin of all war is religion.

The simple solution is this: END RELIGION!

If there was no religion, there would be no war. And also if we are going to have a government, it should be common sense to keep all religion out of government. Government should be 100% secular and non-conformance.

Thank you, anyone who disagrees is just ignorant.
