		<description>You got that straight! I don't even know how the President has power over the state militias? I didn't think he had that authority. Weren't the states given jurisdiction over the state militias? I know it used to be that way. My g-g-grandfather was in a NY State militia in the Civil War. His records are in the State Archives, not the National Archives. Although, I believe the Fed eventually took over all of those units.
