Not that it necessarily provides us better protection, but we might have far better recourse in the courts if something goes wrong than if it's a foreign government we need to go after (where do you go then, The Hague?). Of course, if something goes wrong on THIS type operation the courts anywhere might not be particularly effective. The whole corporate mentality anymore makes us vulnerable -- no matter who it is or where they're from -- at end, pretty much all whores. But I'll take our whores over Al Queda and Taliban suck-ups any day. Gee, there’s a novel idea. Not that it necessarily provides us better protection, but we might have far better recourse in the courts if something goes wrong than if it’s a foreign government we need to go after (where do you go then, The Hague?).
