There may never be a 2008 election

People assume that there is going to be a 2008 election where Republicans will lose big time and Hillary will become president. But that may not be what happens. There may not be a 2008 election at all.

Bush has been issuing directives to set up martial law and a presidential dictatorship in the case of some national emergency where he will replace all of government, and he is trying to create a war with Iran. It looks pretty obvious where this is going.

With the Democrats being reliably stupid enough to fall for Bush’s ploys over and over again when Bush make his move the Democrats will be useless in stopping him. In fact the Democrats will likely join him as they did when they voted to authorize the war and continually vote to keep funding the war. But the Republicans aren’t going to just let the Democrats win in free and fair elections. They have a plan and the plan is to take over America.

With the rules for martial law in place all we need is an even to trigger a national emergency. What that will be is anyone’s guess but it will involve war with Iran and because of the war Bush will take over the government and suspend the Constitution and elections. The suspension will be promoted as temporary until absolute power is in place. At that point America will become the biggest threat to world peace.

Some of you may say, “Perkel, you are really paranoid. No way is that going to happen.” My response is, I hope you are right. However I still think that the risks of something like this are high enough that being paranoid is a healthy thing to do. As they say, “Just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean that they aren’t out to get you.”

Sometimes exposing a plot before it happens is the best way to keep it from happening so I think it is prudent to raise the possibility and spread the paranoia and to be proven wrong. After all, in the Bush administration those who are paranoid are being proven right. When Congress voted in 2002 to authorize the war in Iraq they say they never thought Bush would abuse his power the way he did. But at the time I was absolutely sure that he would and I joined 150,000 other paranoid protesters in San Francisco who were also sure that he would.

There is no doubt in my mind at all that the Bush administration is contemplating this move. My opinion is that they have not reached consensus yet and that a number of events have yet to occur before the plan goes into effect. I believe that bringing attention to this possibility is a good way to start undermining their plan so that it never happens.

Sometimes politics is like diverting an asteroid from hitting the Earth. If you know the asteroid is heading our way and will collide with the planet and you deal with it far enough in advance you can push it out of the way easily. However if you wait to long it will be too close and nothing can stop it. I see the political asteroid coming but it is so far away that it can only be seem by us paranoid people. so I am calling on other paranoid people to join me in pushing it out of the way.

An interesting thing about being paranoid is that we don’t know how many plots were prevented by some paranoid person exposing them. And we will may never know. But better to be called a nut case and survive and to sit back and let Bush do it to us over and over again.
