Letter to the Editor
Bush was again defending his torture policy after it turns out that there were secret memos to keep on torturing after he had issued public orders not to torture. Of course he can’t reveal the secret memos because they are after all secret. Bush says, “this government does not torture people.” We’re supposed to just believe him because somehow not believing the Bush’s lies helps “the enemy”, whoever that is.
It makes me wonder if the people who own the rights to George Orwell’s books “Animal Farm” and “1984” could sue Bush for copyright infringement. Clearly he’s stealing their plot!
