Letter to the Editor
The more people talk about recession and economic fears the more the voters lean towards Hillary. That’s because the Clinton campaign coined the phrase, “It’s the Economy Stupid”. Not only did they make it the issue, but the delivered on their promise of focusing on the economy like a laser beam. When the Clinton’s left office the big issue was how we were going to spend the surplus. So now that the federal debt is approaching 10 trillion dollars voters are less willing to take a chance on risky candidates. The more the economy becomes the issue the more people want to go back to the days when the surplus was the big problem.
