The Arizona legislature has passed a new voting law aimed at Obama requiring presidential candidates to prove they were born in America. I doubt Obama is going to have any trouble doing that, but had this law been in effect in 2008 it would have caused more of a problem for John McCain that Obama. McCain was born in the country of Panama. Obama had never challenged McCain’s qualifications to run for president because his father was a navy admiral at the time working on the Panama Canal. But now that the question is law he would have to prove he was US born. And he probably can’t.

13 other states are considering similar laws. If McCain decided he wanted to run again he probably couldn’t. I think these legislatures should focus more on creating jobs that political tricks and earn the voter’s approval by doing a good job rather than focusing on political nonsense.
