Letter to the Editor
Democrats are faced with the challenge of picking a candidate to overthrow the Bush regime. How do we choose? To me it's somewhat of a process of elimination and the candidates past voting record is as strong of a test as you can get.
I have a real problem with Gephardt, Kerry, Edwards, and Lieberman because they vote with Bush too often. They all supported Bush's fraudulent war in Iraq. They voted for Bush's tax cuts for the rich. I just can't vote for Democrats who vote with Bush and sell out our country. I want a candidate who isn't sleeping with the enemy.
I am wondering why it is that the one candidate who is right on every issue and is absolutely 180 degrees apart from the Bush administration is not getting any mention in the press and has extremely low poll numbers. Dennis Kucinich is the man. Dean and Clark are acceptable as substitutes and even Sharpton is good. The rest are crap.

Probably because apparently not a lot of folks are exactly 180 degrees from Bush. Not these Kucinich is doing it, but I doubt you'll find a substantial amount of voters out there who absolutely 100% disgaree with Bush on every single issue ever.
Posted by: Brian at January 22, 2004 02:39 PMI am a mom of 3 small children. I'm busy . I heard of a questionnaire one can answer and then the candidate that best matches your answers, your opinions on the issues, is suggested to you. I know that I disagree with Bush on a lot of issues9and I want his team and him OUT!) but that's only a negative. I don't feel ready for making a positive educated vote and then I feel vulnerable to quick one liner promises. I hear a lot of talk of what needs to be done but no solid suggestions or plans of HOW each candidate( Administrative team) can succeed in making those changes. A lot of it sounds like a pie in the sky. Yes and now I have only a few hours in which to educate myself before I bundle up my children and motivate them to walk down to the school/polling place and blindly vote. I suppose I'll see a bunch of unfamiliar names for state and local positions ones that maybe are more important if I consider the grassroots kind of movement/start small work out in concentric circles kind of talk. How can I trust any candidate after all the lies? And knowing that I haven't been real active/knowledgeable in my vote for state rep .and senator? Who can trust the media? There is so much bad news, hearsay, distortion and backstabbing subjectivity disguised in objective style. I'm not sure there is any help to be had but if anyone out there cares to discuss or comment I'm listening.
