Martha Steward Convicted

Letter to the Editor

A jury has convicted Martha Stewart of lying to the government and she will probably go to prison for it. However her lie isn't nearly as serious as the lie Bush told the nation to trick us into going to war with Iraq. Does the government go to prison when it lies to the people?

IT'S REALLY A SHAME THAT IT HAS COME TO THIS,WITH SO MANY OTHER THINGS GOING ON IN THE WORLD TODAY. IT SEEMS THAT THE JURY HAD ALREADY PLANNED TO VOTE GUILTY WITHOUT ANY AFTER THOUGHT. IT WON'T STOP HER OR KEEP HER FROM DOING WHAT SHE KNOWS HOW TO DO,MAKE MONEY AND FIND THE FOLLOWING.
KEEP YOUR HEAD UP MS.M.
NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER,IN OTHER WORDS..........IF A PERSON WITH A PAST SHOULD HAPPEN TO BE LOOKING FOR A JOB,GIVE THEM THE BREAK THAT YOU DIDN'T GET. GOOD LUCK

Hey it was pretty stupid on Marthas part to sell off 200,000 in stock . In the large picture it would of been cheaper to eat the loss. one thing about the wealthly, they always want more. She may not be the only one doing things like this, but she did get caught and its time to pay the price. Dont do the crime if you cant do the time. I wonder if Robert Blake sings that tune anymore ?

Yah,
And I suppose that you feel for OJ too!
Have you sent him any money to help him out?
Get a grip! Just because she is a celeb
DOES NOT mean that she can brake the law.
Just wait, she will more than likely make
a TV special on how to accessorize your
jail cell. You know, paint each of the bars
different colors, maybe add nice flower arangements
to each of the legs on the bunk beds.
What do you think?

Martha has done so much good for people'slives and I just hope she knows that deep down - people are jealous of her - she did do something wrong but a mere fine would suffice - she did what is done - and which obviously won't be done int he future....but she has lost too much for her misdeed.

Thats Right, "Never judge a book by its cover." You judge a book by its movie! Sometimes people get judged by what they did whether they were convicted or not, but people no matter the race creed or color are judged if they were convicted no matter what they did. more in the intrest of self preservation.

just a diversion from the government for themisdeeds the government does...and the prosecuter will get an appointment in the administration, he did it to further his own career, she lied yes she did...but we all do and we don't get 5 month prison for it...like an other writer stated,, the Bush administration
had damaged this country to the brink of no return......she should have gotten community service and could have helped some idiots who dont know how to cook and are on welfare...how to make a good meal for 3.50 for 4 people...you can do it...instead this republican government and judicial system had to proof a point that will backfire....they also proofed a point with Saddam that backfired...cruelty to subjects will always backfire in the long run....only compassinon and justice for all will prevail..this was no justice.....this was a hangmens trial....

Martha has been convicted of a crime and she must pay. Just because you have a TV show and the world knows who you are, don't mean that you are above the law. Other people had stock in that company also, they did not get the same tip to sell. She Got caught. Deal with it.

If I or my friends did as she had we would spend years in jail. KMart, will no longer, be a place where we will shop. She is getting off scott free she should be punished to tha MAX!!!!!! I am sending wmail through out the country, warning Kmart and all the once that will continue to sponcer her, and boycot, them as well. I am a average homemaker, not rich, had I don as she had I would spend YEARS in jail. MONEY talks, what about the little people that have to serve the time. She should just disippear. When she get's out we the people will gather all over America, for book burning, sheet,a all her junk.
This will go on in all 50 states. Kmart beware, you will loose your business, as long as you carry one thing in Marth Srewards ilse.
