Bush Flip Flop List

OK - Bush likes to talk about Kerry Flip Flops - so - let's list Bush flip flops. I want to build a collection and create a web site about it.

Here's one to start with. Bush was going to hunt bin Laden down and get him. Now he's not that interested in him. This a hell of a flip flop.

America is safer - but we might have to suspened elections for the first time in history.

Please list ohers.

It goes to show how all politicians are hypocrites. But honestly, in the case of Kerry some flip flopping might be a good thing -- such as on war, I mean, who wants someone who never considers other options, who never considers the opposing viewpoint?

Flip: Dedication to preserving life, even in the form of cells.

Flop: Decimated civilian families with bombs, killing babies, children and adults alike.

IM SURPRISED NO ONE PUT THIS DOWN

FLIP: SAYING HE IS A WAR PRESIDENT
FLOP: SAYING HE IS A PEACE PRESIDENT

Flip: Against the 9/11 commission in the beginning.
Flop: Really excited and pleased with the 9/11 panels recommendations. Willing to do what they say. (Does anyone smell an election coming?)

"Flip: Denounced "nation building" prior to Election 2000"

Ghost, this isn't a flip-flop. The nation he was referring too was the United States.

Does that list of bonafide flip flops of Bush add up to more switches than Kerry, who conveniently is assaulted by the GOP for his? I wonder if the GOP is aware of this bit of hypocricy (if they even care).

Flip: "I believe individual freedom to participate in elections should be expanded, not diminished; and when individual freedoms are restricted, questions arise under the First Amendment. I also have reservations about the constitutionality of the broad ban on issue advertising, which restrains the speech of a wide variety of groups on issues of public import in the months closest to an election."

Flop: "All of them. That means that ad, every other ad. Absolutely. I can't be more plain about it. I hope my opponent joins me in condemning these activities of the 527s (political groups that sponsor ads). I think they're bad for the system."

Flip: The war on terrorism cannot be won.
Flop: I think we will win the war on terrorism

Posted by: johnny_law4u at September 2, 2004 09:15 AM

Flip: Attack on Iraq was based on weapons of mass destruction which made them a threat to the U.S.
Flop: Attack on Iraq was to liberate the people and fight terroism (even though it has been concluded that Iraq played no part in 9/11 and that al-queda was not in Iraq)

Flip: No intelligence czar.
Flop: Ok, there can be an intelligence czar, but with no budgetary control.
Flip: All for a full blown intelligence czar, WITH budgetary control.

Please check out www.politicalsongs.net to hear "The Flop" song about Bush flip flops. It is a humorous and accurate account of Bush
flip-flopping, set to the 50's tune "At the Hop". A great tool to neutralize the spin about Kerry flip-flopping. Please check it out, pass it around, and contact us with comments, requests for a free MP3 version, or if you want to help coordinate putting it to a video.
Thank you.

"Neither candidate is going to be perfect. In fact I wish america had something better we dont, but electing Kerry will put this nation at risk. Period. He is probably one of the worst candidates that I have seen that has a good chance to be our leader. As far as flip flopping, so what, if you look in the past of great leaders. I gaurantee you that everyone has changed there mind on diffrent info or stance during paticular times. But understand that our president isnt trying to win a popularity contest, he is just doing his duty. And sure he made mistakes, maybe one of them is attacking Iraq before making afgan a stable nation. Anyway I am not a very good writer. But heres my thoughts

"Flip: Says he's a recovering alcoholic"
Bush won't even admit he ever was an alcoholic, only that he used to "drink too much". hmmmm, so is this really a flop? if he can't even admit he had(s?) a problem is he recovering?
