Its the kind of past and present we have lived with and will continue to have to live with until the end of time; conflict with others and lying by the powers that be is inevitable, regardless of if Bush remains or not.

Shadow Hawk you are wrong. There are degrees. Fact is things weren't near as bad with our last LEGITIMITE president.

I said it before on another post- it was deleted- but I will say it again. If every country were a true democracy, there would be no war. War is a means of necessity right? War has happened historically when one country has become powerful and wanted to exert its force another, this decision has never happened under a democratic form of government.

The theory is that, under a democracy, the people choose whether or not to go to war. Furthermore, since most people would have to fight the war, they would not vote for war unless it was in self-defense. Thus, if every country were a democracy no one would actively vote to go to war. This has been presented by numerous individuals that have been associated with modern day democratic theory.

When george bush betrayed his people's vote, saying that war was a necessity, he took a pre-emptive strategy. The powers of war were given as a last resort for a supposedly imminent threat. This in itself is a contradiction to what a democratic form of government is. This happened in two other wars, that had very similar results. Again, because we did not have any support more than our nation's own.

This is why I say we must get rid of gw, if we elect a new president, it will send a minor signal to the rest of the World saying that we want their help getting out of this mess. Until then, we will continue to go it alone and in "war, debt, poverty, and lies."

I (a Dutch guy) can't stand it that at least half of the US seems to consist of idiot morons (this would be the 50% of Bush-supporters I'm referring to).

I can only imagine how bad some of you US guys must feel, since you're actually LIVING in said country.

And how about the idea that an overwhelming majority would actually be supporting Kerry if he'd be in the White House for about a year. That's just a thorn in the brain of a sane man.

BUSH THINKS EVERYONE IS AS STUPID AS HE IS

A viable democracy is predicated upon an informed electorate of skeptical independent thinkers. However, it is not surprising that a nation of obese junk food aficionados prefers political pabulum to incisive intellectual investigation.

Many regard G.W. Bush as a "strong leader." Comparison with "strong" Presidents (Washington, Lincoln, TR, FDR, Truman, JFK, and Reagan) shows that a majority served in the military, many in combat, and none went AWOL; war was a last resort and won with skillful restraint, and sensitive intelligence; each embraced and advanced science; none prostituted religion or a tragedy like 9/11 for political gain; war time Presidents enjoyed a robust economy of American made goods; none had a national convention highlighted by lies and hateful negativity, or led a juggernaut of political poison; none required apologists to untangle irrational phrases; none was pictured wearing an unearned military ribbon; none tolerated public mocking of the Purple Heart, and none permitted an aide to compare Americans to a 10 year old child.

Mr. Bush is clearly a droll, simple minded soul lacking vision and insight. A loose cannon, he led us into Bloody Iraq; and he spends your money like a crazed liberal. Worse yet, he insults the public by by whoppers such as blaming job losses on ““junk”” lawsuits. Joke-in-the-Box Cheney had an attack of brain paralysis saying a vote for Kerry will invite terrorism. Bush-Cheney did not protect us on 9/11. They are not protecting us or serving us well now.

I'm sorry. You must have misunderstood me.

I was venting rage, not trying to come off as superior.

Chris, you can live in Holland. As easy as it is to get in this country, one would have to imagine that it is not all that hard to "sneak out".

Wills forget who the rest of the world wants to be your president. This is our election not theirs. The rest of the world does not have a great track record when it comes to electing leaders. Saddam had 100% of the votes casted in the last election.
