Saving Social Security

Letter to the Editor

President Bush and I have different views on how to save Social Security. His plan is to destroy Social Security and give the money to his rich friends. My plan to save Social Security is for the people to rise up against the Republicans and take back America before they destroy everything. That is the only way we are going to save Social Security and everything else America stands for.

This really doesn't shock me all that much. Both 20/20 and 60 Minutes ran pieces about Gov Jeb Bush's buddies at FLA dept of elections coaxing of software vendors who were contracted to maintain the voter registration rules.

As in many states, felons can be stripped of their voting rights. Constractors whe were hired to purge the voting roles were told to be very lenient in writing code that scanned teh voter roles for convicted felond.

I am not all that concerned with a rapist or murderer loosing their voting rights, but many voters were errently purged simply because they have the same first name, last name, and were close in age to convicted felons.

The reason why much of this stuff goes away is that the Democratic party seems to ingore state elections that are not held in a presidential election year. This allows Republicans to win many state house and senate races.

Every LEGAL voter is important, as is every electuion. Not just the presidential elections.
