We need a Plan

Letter to the Editor

There are a lot of opinions out there about what we should do about Iraq. Do we stay or do we leave? I say that what we need is a plan. Right now we don't know why we are there or what we are doing. We can't "win" because we haven't even determined who the enemy is.

Not only do we need a plan, but I suggest that we need not just any plan, but a plan that really works. How do we come up with a plan that really works? There's only one way to do that. We have to take reality into consideration. So in order to come up with a plan that really works we have to all commit to a process where we agree to put aside or personal point of view and go with reality wherever that leads us. We can't stay in Iraq without a plan, nor can we just up and leave Iraq without a plan. We have to have a plan. Let us all as a nation commit to reality in forming this plan.

When the US entered Iraq, it masqueraded an illegal invasion of a sovereign nation into a "freedom & Democracy" liberation operation.

The US was making big promises to Iraq while causing death and destruction to the very people it was claiming to save. On top of that the US illegally removed the legal president of Iraq and replaced him with a succession of puppet "governments" comprised of various Iraqi traitors eager for power; all doomed to failure.

Technically, there has never been a clearer case of war crimes as scores of international law violations have been committed by the US against Iraq.

Today, all that the average American cares to think about is "how do we get out of there?" when in fact it was that same American who supported G.Bush on two occasions thereby prolonging the horrendous misery of the Iraqi people.

Hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis later America has the audacity to sentence the Iraqi president to death because he allegedly killed around 200 Kurds sometime in the 80s... the same Americans that often call "God bless America", the same Americans who brag on about "Democracy" and "freedom", the same Americans who call themselves "Christian". Which God is America really praying to?...one can't help but wonder!

So go ahead Americans, let's see you talk about the plan that really "works", you know the one that's going to bring back all the dead, heal all the maimed, rebuild all the structures, restore peace and order, restore an entire trashed civilization...

What's the matter with you Americans? Have you run out of brilliant ideas? We thought you had all the answers just three years ago.
