The Butterfly Effect

I've been thinking about this for years and finally got around to writing it. It's a detailed explanation of "The Butterfly Effect". Sensitive Dependence on Initial Condition. Once you read this your perception of reality will change forever.

And one other thing to consider... "Every possibility that could happen, does happen" (can't remember where I heard that).
That would solve the "Grandfather paradox" because it not so much that you cease to exist, so much that you've force everyone to take a different timeline path. Sort of like backing up your car to an intersection and turning right when you originally went straight (and you probably have to pray that you don't get t-boned by another car while backing up through the intersection)

And if there are parallel timelines, is it possible to 'jump' from one to another? This is exactly what happens in the TV show 'Sliders' (which I think is off the air now).

And in causing things to change, it could also result in events happening sooner than they would normally have - and that could be an explanation on why we occasionally experience deja vu.

Of course you could argue that there is no future or past, kind of like Steven King did in the short story The Langoliers (a TV movie as also make out of it).
