Bill Clinton's new book has outsold any book in history for first day sales. It may sell more copies than any book in history. Boy do the Clinton haters hate that. The media reviewers say the book is boring. But the public thinks different and are voting with their dollars. So - who is right? The public is.
Clinton is after all America's greatest president. And that's why everyone is so interested in him. We all long to go back to Clinton's America when we had peace and prosperity - when we were wondering what we were going to do with the surplus and people were suffering from "sudden wealth syndrome". Now we have war and terror - big brother reading our email - tracing our moves - listening to our phone calls - watching everything we buy and where we go - watching everything we do. We are so far in debt that we are afraid to think about it let alone talk about it. Americans are not safe anywhere and we talk about our alies like France and Canada as if they were our enemies.
American has fallen and we look back to the good old days and think about how great Clinton was. And we want to read his book because we want to compare him to our present day loser and wonder - can we ever go back? What happened to the Man from Hope?
"Clinton is after all America's greatest president" OMFG who the hell do you think your kidding. What was so great about him...I just dont see the point. Everyone is buying the book because they still cant believe he could lie to us and get away with it. He should of been strait up and said it was none of anyones business but his own...instead he tried to lie and got caught on this one. How many lies did he get away with???...bet those arent in the book.I know as much as i want and wont be buying the book. But i cant speak for the sheep of this country.

We rewarded eight years of hard work with a Repugnicant Clenis hunt that is still going on today...
Too bad there's too many people who are swallowing the BushLoad whole (not to mention the trolls like HungUpOnTheClenisTime hammering your site or anything...)
Posted by: (: Tom :) at June 24, 2004 06:30 AMCalling Bill Clinton the greatest POTUS in history is a long shot. After all, we have a bias toward the presidents of the recent time, among other possible biases. The role of a President has changed substantially throughout the American history, as well as the things he can do or get away with.
In my subjective opinion, yes, Bill Clinton was the overall best president in my lifetime, with Reagan a very distant second. For the best president of the century, I would pick Woodrow Wilson or FDR. Of course a lot of people would disagree.
I wonder what we think about when judging a president: Is it an in-depth decision matrix of important events and presidential traits? Probably not. Is it the personal qualities? Is it how good our life has been during that period of time? Or is it an oversimplified symbol of what that president stood for?
For an American person wishing to show his political erudition, the issue of which party and/or presidents s\he likes becomes a matter of personal identity. I wonder if most people end up adapting to that identity rather than using those pieces of ideas to assemble their own views…

If you're going to be a fake bad journalist, the least you can do is make up stuff that I can't disprove with less than 10 seconds on Google.
His book sold 400,000 copies on the first day.
Harry Potter 5 sold over 5 million on its first day.
How is it that your book has sold more than any other book in history on its first day but sold 4.6 million less copies than a children's book did? You tool.
Posted by: Mance at June 25, 2004 08:52 AMI want to read it, just for the entertainment value. I LOVE when a grown man tells childish lies. The man is a joker. As far as his ranking as a President, he is not in the 50 percentile.
