When France opposed the illegal war in Iraq and led the coalition of the unwilling against being suckered - Bush started calling them "Old Europe" and renamed French Fries to Freedom Fries. Now he goes crawling on his hands and knees begging the French to forgive him and give him money and troops to help bail him out in this important election year.
Now Americans are hated everywhere. He has empowered our enemies and alienated our friends. And his stunts like Freedom Fries will cost the lives of more Americans because he hasn't figured out that if you piss people off they aren't going to do you any favors.
Bloody funny guy Bush. He even said that Europe didn't face her responsabiblity after the 9/11.And for his understanding of friendship it goes as long as it serves his purpose, where was he when Madrid was mourning 200 deaths?
I think is high time for the americans to understand that you can not go pocking a hornets nest with out getting biten, thinking you can resolve the world problems to suit your own, an acting as if they were above the law
At the end of the day you may realize that God is with every body, doesn't matter race of religion, Bush keeps repeating that God is with USA ( and only then) and that they are a special people with the mission of liberate the world.....it looks to me like Hitler.
Crusades all over again. Convert or kill.
Posted by: charlie chingas at July 1, 2004 10:04 AMactually i believe god is bullshit, and bush only use's god to get his right wing christians to support his ass, and i dont think its right what he is doing, he is a moron and im ashamed that most people around the world veiw americans because of him
Posted by: Joshua Gillogly at July 1, 2004 07:10 PMJosh, you said it. I think that's how most americans believe...
Posted by: charlie chingas at July 1, 2004 07:36 PMI think Bush is honest with his Christian faith. He used to have a drinking problem, and probably a drug problem. He just replaced one drug with another: religion. That's my view anyway. I don't have a problem with religious people for the most part, though some of them (those who are compelled to spread their viral faith) should be selectively bred out of the human race. (I'm joking, btw, or am I?)
His advisers on the other hand... I think they've taken their lessons from Machiavelli. If you study Strauss and his followers, they do write about The Prince. I haven't read any of their writings, though, except for Bloom's Closing of the American Mind, so go to the source and read their stuff before you repeat any of this. I've only read Liberal/Libertarian critiques of their writings.
Anyway, I think his advisers are exploiting his faith, and the faith of his many supporters. They rant about Jesus and the Ten Commandments and the death of traditional marriage, and he buys into it. Then his advisers do what they want to in the shadows, while occasionally smearing their policies with a bible brush. Hence why Bush looks so confused whenever he loses site of his teleprompter. It's kinda funny, cause some of the churches they're manipulating may lose their tax exempt status. Doubt any of those bureaucrats would really mess with Churches, though. That'd be political suicide. See this story: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=

Cut and paste for purity.

Posted by: curt at July 2, 2004 07:46 PM see what you just said confused the hell out of me, maybe its because i havnt read any sort of christian nonsence or maybe its because im a illterate 16 year old, ive seen clips of him talkin threw a video communications to church talking about the evil doers out there(which in his veiws are homosexuals)
what im getting at is you should never mix your religious veiws in with your political views, soon our country will be behind in technology (IE-stem cell research) bush says he is a "uniter not a divider" but since he has been in office our country seems to be more divided, and for stupid issues such as not letting homosexuals marry, if you can't let them marry no one is aloud to marry, or things of abortion and cloning.
religion will soon be the thing of the past technology will finally take over and all the ppl will see that there faith was unloyal to them. And relize the only reasons religions were made was to make ppl follow a leader who manipulated them into believing his nonscence making him a king or a ruler of some sort.
