Bush's Speech was Lame

Letter to the Editor

GOP conventions have sure changed over the years. There's a lot of things you don't hear about anymore that the Republicans used to at least give lip service to. What you don't hear is the words Balanced Budget anymore. They no longer talk of Paying off the National Debt, Where is the Social Security Lock Box. We are not debating what we are going to do with the surplus like we were 4 years ago. The only new idea he introduced was federal funding of churches.

In spite of all the talk of terrorism and 9-11 - not once did Bush mention the name of Osama bin Laden. That tells me that Bush isn't serious about getting the guy who actually attacked America. We have a president who can't identify the enemy.

He talks about our soldiers confronting terrorists - but the terrorists aren't in Iraq and never were. Our soldiers were sent to fight in the wrong country. All in all - Bush's speech was pretty weak compared to the other speaker like Democrat Zell Miller and the pro-choice liberal Republicans who dominated the GOP convention. If this is a poker game - Bush is playing with an empty hand.

If the citizens of the United States are goofy enough to re-elect GW, then we deserve him. As a matter of fact, true divine justice would require that North Korea nuke Seattle in retribution. Then we could go to war with the entire world and die with the words "must...fight....terror" on our lips. Just how much manure do you have to sniff-- how many trips to Walmart do you have to make-- how many times do you have to install AOL or watch NASCAR-- in order to believe that it's a good idea to send our armed forces to invade and occupy Iraq in the middle of a "War on Terror?" We were pursuing Osama in Afghanistan and then, suddenly, we send most of our available military off to start a NEW war before the old one was finished.

Class: what other lunatic did that? That's correct, Bush's pal Adolf. He sent the panzers off to invade Russia before finishing the war with England. Gosh kids, can you say "worst military blunder in history?" I knew you could.

Okay. I surrender. I'm gonna watch the WWF and Fox News, listen to cuntry musik and drink cheap beer until I love mah unca Georgie. Then I'll go vote for him and support our troops *sob*.

Anyone see the documentary "In Plane Site"?

You sure Osama attacked us?

Posted by: BumontheRun at September 3, 2004 01:01 PM

u know, i heard something like that. that bin hyden's money was not used for the attacks. may the saudi's were involved. the majority of the attackers were from saudi, but went after the main area in the world where terrorists are harbored... lol... seriously, maybe someday we'll no the truth. maybe after another bloody civil war we'll finally get our asses out of our heads and see the light, the truth.... nah...
