One thing that I believe will hurt Edwards is he always comes across as a trial lawyer. That does sit well with a lot of people. Not many of us have been served by a slick trial lawyer, and we tend to dislike them more then like them.

Yes, it makes sense to dislike the people who represent you when you've suffered by someone else's negligence. I defy you to represent yourself in a civil trial when the guts of your child is sucked down a drain or suffers severe nerve damage from mercury poisoning. I'd like to see what you can get. $250,000 would feel like a kick in the balls.

Regarding the VP debates, Cheney is a congenital liar. It was pure Whistle Dick to hear him say that to vote for Kerry is risk a terrorist attack. Hey Dickhead, 9-11 happened on YOUR watch. We've already had a major terrorist attack no thanks to you, bunkerboy.

Cheney is the worst VP in the history of this country. Bush is taking the blame for a lot of the failures of this administration, but it's Cheney's master plan that's failing since everyone except the rightards knows that Bush is too stupid to have a plan or even an original thought.

My own opinion is that VP debates do not matter any more than the office does. People don't really vote for the running mate (though we should, especially when the primary candidate is a moron).

Edwards will probably mop the floor with Cheney. Cheney has so many secrets and scandals going on right now that he's pretty much hog-tied in what he can talk about or respond to. This will be the first time he has emerged from his bunker to face an unpicked crowd who has not sworn a loyalty oath to the monkey-in-chief...and I predict he will run snarling back to his bat cave like a vampire fleeing before a cross.

Ought to be quite a show.

AntiTomocius, control yourself. Having your child sucked down a drain? Has he sued abortionist? Someone else's negligence is one thing. A little old lady getting money from McDonalds because she spilled her own coffee is something completely different. $250,000 would feel like a kick in the balls, but $10 million would not bring my son back. I work in a room with 3,000 people everyday, I am just posting what I feel the vibe is on this one.

As far as 9/11, the dickhead that made 9/11 happen was not offered to Cheney on a silver platter. Now, if the guys who was offered this terrorist head had taken it, 9/11 may have never happened. Cheney is no more to blame for 9/11 then you are. Those fanatical muslims hate you and every other American as much as they hate Cheney.

Well, you have nosied around Senator Edwards "most famous case". What about his least famous case? How much of the poor little girls money did he take? I'm going to guess that he took something north of 14 million dollars from the poor little girl. And if he is that talented, I want him out protecting other little girls from the same kinds of danger, not sitting in the Naval Observatory wasting that talent. And just because he has recovered massive amounts of money for some injured girl does not mean he is Vice Presidential material. If I need a malpractice attorney I'llcall John Edwards, but I will not be calling him when I need I Vice President

Cheney and the Monkey ignored Clinton's warning about Bin Laden and the Al Qaida threat. They could have prevented 9/11 just like Clinton prevented terrorist attacks in the homeland while he was President. Instead of dealing with an imminent threat the Monkey sat on his ass while Cheney pushed for a crappy missile defense system.

9-11 would never have happened if the USSC hadn't usurped the election from President Gore.

And we wouldn't be in the Iraqi quagmire.

And we wouldn't have a $500,000,000,000.00 deficit.

The PBS moderator was biased. Gwen Iliff started out hard on Cheney, asking about Bremer and Rumsfeld contradicting the administration, and then moved to the first of her repeated softballs to Edwards. Ifill asked a biased question of Edwards, for him to help the American people understand what Kerry really means by his "global test" concept, implying that Bush-Cheney was misrepresenting him. Ifill brought up Halliburton (a company Clinton gave no-bid contracts to); In a question to Edwards, Iliff characterized the Bush Administration as absent on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; Iliff came to Cheney with Cleveland having the highest poverty rate (on his watch); Iliff asked Cheney if Edwards is part of the problem, while asking Edwards the soft-ball of, why is he qualified? I am looking for answers on last nights vice presidential debate. Overall I thought it was tepid and boring, however, VP Cheney said something that made me leap up and say "what did he just say?"
Can someone please explain to me who the people are whom the VP said DO NOT HAVE TO PAY FEDERAL INCOME TAXES and WHY? I can't recall the number he quoted off hand, but I think he said 50,000 people.

Almost everything out of Darth Cheney's mouth last night was a LIE. If this was a Democrat talking, there would be a secondary industry started just to catalogue all the lies.
