Bush asks for sacrifice

Letter to the Editor

President Bush is asking America to sacrifice again for the Iraq war, but not all Americans have to sacrifice. Rich America isn't sacrificing. As poor America tightens the belt and sends their sons to die, the rich keep getting more tax cuts. Just this week the Senate wants to give oil companies another 18 billion dollars at a time when oil companies are making record profits. With the Downing Street memo we know that the war was a fraud. So I question if it i good for America to give tax cuts to the rich while the poor have to fight and die. I think that Americans should not join the military until Bush makes the rich pay their fair share and he has a plan about how to get us out of a state of perpetual war.

An all-volunteer Army is the best way to go. Yes, poor people have less opportunities so the Army is an option. So be it. Why penalize people for being successful or coming from successful lineages? Its whining is what it is. Michael Moore has some good points but Iraq was never about WMD. What about China and Syria and Russia (now that Russia is returning to communism just like before). These are the real problems and someone pissing and moaning about "oil companies" doesn't realize the benefits of occupation in that region. I don't care if someone is scratching someone else's back. The current Army is *volunteers*. Its quite simple. Nobody is forcing them to fight for oil rights, it was their choice when they entered.

Well in that case, since the commies are coming, why don't we "strategically" occupy Germany? or who ever? War is wrong no matter how you look at it. So please stop being afraid of the commies and start helping America become what it was intended to be. Thanks.

why worry about the communists? Many communist countries, including China, grant their people more liberty and freedom then America does today. Over the years America has turned into a proper dictator government. It is not America that has to fear the world. It is the world which has to fear America and its marauding ciminally insane govewrnment to whom power and money has more value than human lives, including the lives of its own people.
America has turned into the nation which has commited more genocide around the world than any other wretched government in recorded history, including the Roman Empire and Nazi-Germany.
