Letter to the Editor
Republicans are facing tough choices this election year. More pictures and videos are surfacing that document atrocities at prisons in Iraq. We are seeing rape, sodomy, torture, and the murdering of prisoners in US custody. It is now believed that the orders to commit these war crimes came directly from the White House.
So what do Republicans do? Do they stick with the President and try to downplay these extremely graphic pictures? Or do they put the interests of Americans first and get to the bottom of this? Will Republicans like John McCain do what's right - or will he sell out to election year politics? Time for McCain to put his money where his mouth is. I challenge McCain's honesty.
nice animation!

"It is now believed that the orders to commit these war crimes came directly from the White House."
?
NOT!...The "Orange Jumpsuit" is actually a pink satin two piece. The mistake comes from the blue overlay in the video. This same overlay, also causes the men to appear to have white skin. Also, the prison is an Iraqi prison, being used by us. We didn't ship any chairs to this prison, and as far as I have seen in many videos and pictures from Iraq, those white chairs are pretty common. Also, you need the original tape in order to check the "watermark", so I don't see how it's possible that Kodak can even compare this.
Posted by: beavis7 at May 24, 2004 06:07 AMWithout Sen. John McCain, George Sorros (pronounced SOrry Ass bitch) could be on the ballot this year as supreme nazi fascist leader of the united states of ass-backwardsness. He would split the ticket with michael moore (pronounced canadian). Look up the McCain-Feingold bill to see what I mean.
Posted by: Rob at May 24, 2004 05:40 PMRob, do you guarantee that if we look up the McCain-Feingold bill we will understand what you are talking about? What's this rant about Soros? You lost me there.
"It is now believed that the orders to commit these war crimes came directly from the White House."
question from alex - "Nice to hear... But where did you find this information?"

Ashcroft Refuses to Release Torture Memo
Attorney General Says He's Unaware of Any Order to Violate Torture Bans

Attorney General John D. Ashcroft told Congress today that he would not release to members a 2002 policy memo on the degree of pain and suffering legally permitted during enemy interrogations, but he said he knows of no presidential order that would allow torture for al Qaeda captives.
Angry Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee called on Ashcroft to provide the document, saying leaked portions that have appeared in news reports suggest the Bush administration is reinterpreting U.S. law and the Geneva Conventions prohibiting torture.

Posted by: richard at June 8, 2004 03:30 PMRichard you are right, I could have been more intricate in the M-f bill, which puts limitations on soft-money contributions to political parties. Sorros funds many "left"
leaning groups that fund Democratic political campaigns. And it was a rant.
I don't want Americans to cater to the agendas of others that don't share in their (the public majorities) ideals.
There is a chance the way things are going, the next generation won't know America as "The land of the free".
We need to assure this.
The McCain-Feingold Bill could be a start.
